He was able to find the source of the problem and fix it, which would have probably gone unnoticed by someone less thorough. Instead of having to wait for weeks in the chilly winter to get a new heater, we had it up and running on the same day! Thank you Jason for your hard work!”

“Justin and his crew spent two long days to replace our furnace and air conditioner. We really appreciated their work. Justin also stayed with us to teach us how to program and use the thermostat. All was well. I later discovered there was no electricity to our dishwasher. I contacted Tom, who set in motion a process to identify the problem. Matt talked to Justin, then emailed me, and we had a few more emails to try to figure out what happened, but couldn’t resolve the issue. Justin came back the next day, quickly determined the problem, and fixed it in about an hour. We expect to be happy with our new heating and AC unit. But we are really pleased with the customer service we have received from everyone at PETRA. Justin and his crew, Tom and Matt, but also Brittnee and Jon. Thanks, guys.”

“We’ve been with Petra for YEARS and we’ve had nothing but excellent service from all technicians. They’ve handled our heater/AC in every capacity- installation, emergency repair, and maintenance. In this particular visit, Jason was extremely thorough and comprehensive in the annual check of our AC. He was professional and friendly and made the process easy peasy. We can rest easy that our AC is in great shape for the summer ahead. We can’t recommend Petra enough!”

“Love Petra Heating! They are the best, they really value their customers and treat us like they would their friends and family. Andy & Jason were out today to perform semi-annual maintenance on my 2 ductless mini-splits and associated ceiling cassettes, also installed surge protectors to protect these units and cleaned out my clothes dryer vent. The latter was not scheduled but they were nice enough to fit it in anyway. They are both always super nice and easy to have working in my home, and importantly do excellent work. JoLynn coordinated the bid and scheduling, and while I've never met her in person, she's always friendly and efficient over the phone/e-mail. I had the first unit installed 2 1/2 years ago and added the 2nd smaller unit about a year ago to separate out the 1/2 basement from the upper 2 stories so that we can heat downstairs and A/C upstairs or vice versa in these 2 completely different temperature zones. The entire system now works like a dream; I couldn't be happier with our decision to go this route for our HVAC needs. One of my family members has severe allergies & since switching from a conventional furnace with hard to clean duct work, he hasn't had a single wheezing spell. Importantly for anyone considering a Petra install, Tom Caldwell and Matt Ryan really listened to my design "wish list" and let me know what was feasible. I selected Petra because they came up with a system design that checked all the right boxes and in particular the Mitsubishi recessed cassettes that fit into the ceiling instead of sticking out from the walls, they are just so esthetically pleasing. Our house has lots of windows so wall real estate is at a premium and I wanted to reserve it for art work, not mini-split cassettes. Most importantly, Petra really stood by us as their customer when we experienced difficulties with our first unit which at the time served our entire house. It stopped working twice in the first year-plus. Petra technicians spent many many many days at no cost to us running diagnostics, getting it working again the first time it went out, and ultimately the 2nd time around they replaced it with a brand new unit on their dime. I felt that it was a lemon and wanted a new unit, and even though Mitsubishi was only willing to replace the compressor, Petra did the right thing and gave us the new replacement unit. Thank you so much Sarah and Matt! Like I said at the beginning of this review, Petra treats their customers as they would friends and family.”

“Jason is amazing; friendly, conscientious, and thorough. He walked us through the problem(s) with our ancient but still super efficient Lennox (circa 1989). He was able to figure out how to repair it in the absence of readily available parts, and helped us understand why we may be nearing replacement time for the unit, although since he has repaired it as this latest July/Aug '22 heat wave crushes us, the machine is humming along and refrigerating us 😉 In the future, if we cannot have Matt, we will be asking for Jason.”

“Our air conditioning unit had a problem with ice build up. Jason identified the problem quickly, made adjustments and explained what caused it. I also asked about the coolant level and if it was part of the problem. It was a little low so he added some. Another thing that had bothered me for a while was how noisy the unit had become. He checked and there were some screws that needed tightened on the unit itself. He also took care of that problem.
All the work took place downstairs. I have a mobility issue and he offered to go back down to shut the outside door and turnoff the lights before he left.
He is an asset to the company. I would highly recommend Petra to anyone needing AC/ heating installation or repair.
